Measuring accessibility in policy evaluation (MAXess)

The MAXess project is an ERAfrica-funded project aimed at developing a more comprehensive metric, called "accessibility" that takes both land use and mobility into account when evaluating transport infrastructure investments and policy. The consortium partners are:

  • University of Pretoria, South Africa;
  • Technical University of Berlin, Germany;
  • Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), Switzerland; and
  • University of Nairobi, Kenya.

More information on the project, and other ERAfrica projects, can be found in this booklet.
