About DESA

Under the guidance of the Director, Dr A.M. Mathekga the Department of Enrolment and Student Administration is involved in the first contact with students. The activities of the Department vary from managing the enrolment process for contact and distance education students to the awarding of degrees and diplomas during the graduation ceremonies and providing assistance to make students work ready.

The functionality of the units in the Department of Enrolment and Student Administration located in the various faculties, is managed on a coordinated basis with the Deans, ensuring innate quality measures. Operational service delivery to students in the Student Service Centre depends on effective data management and electronic systems, of which the Department has ownership. The internal postal service is also included in this Department's activities.
