Unlocking Opportunities: ACS Resources for Career Advancement in Research and Academia

Abstract

Navigating a successful career in science involves more than just research — it requires access to the right resources, networks, and guidance. This session will introduce a range of tools and opportunities offered by the American Chemical Society (ACS) to support the professional growth of students, early-career researchers, and faculty members. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take the next step in your career, this session will equip you with actionable takeaways and connections to move forward with confidence. From curated resources and expert tips on scholarly publishing and ethical authorship, to personalized career guidance, networking platforms, and collaboration tools, attendees will gain insights into how ACS can be a long-term partner in their career journey. The session will conclude with an interactive Ask Me Anything (AMA) segment, providing participants the chance to ask questions, seek advice, and explore how to best leverage ACS resources for their unique goals.
