"Recent developments in Teaching and Learning at UP
and impressions from the USA "

In this presentation I will share information on the thinking behind the adoption
of a hybrid model for T&L at UP, the requirement of a teaching portfolio for
promotion applications, the implications for the chemistry department of the
new MRTEQ curriculum for BEd students, and other matters relevant for the
chemistry department. I will also share my impressions on tertiary chemistry
education in the USA after attending the Gordon conference on Chemistry
Education Research and Practice which was held in Lewiston, Maine in June
2015.
