Systematic Reviews coming alive at SAAK

Posted on January 23, 2015

Dr Kobie Boshoff, a qualified occupational therapist from the University of South Australia recently visited the Centre for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. She was invited by Ms. Refilwe Morwane, a staff member at the CAAC, to share her expertise and knowledge in the field of Systematic Reviews. This was made possible by the NRF KIC Grant. The Knowledge, Interchange and Collaboration (KIC) programme was established to contribute to the following objectives:

  • internationalizing South Africa’s research platform;
  • enhancing networking within the global science system;
  • fostering collaboration in order to improve the quality of research outputs by researchers.

Dr. Boshoff’s visit to the Centre for AAC has assisted the Centre’s staff, Phd students and librarian with valuable information to start working on systematic reviews. Dr. Boshoff also presented a Systematic Review seminar at the CAAC which was attended by a wide range of professionals at the University of Pretoria, including colleagues from Marketing and Informatics.
