The Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria recently introduced a specialised Master's Degree in Extractive Industry Law in Africa. A first for the continent, this new programme focusses on extractive industries in Africa from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The Programme incorporates aspects of law, macro- and micro economics and management, finance, mining engineering, earth science as well as taxation.
