Dr Nara Monkam joins the ATI

Nara Monkam was born and raised in Douala, Cameroon. She obtained her BS (Economics) in 2000 and MA (Economics) in 2002 from the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (University of Namur), Namur in Belgium. In 2008 she obtained her PhD in Economics from Georgia State University, Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Atlanta GA, United States, with a dissertation entitled “The Money-Moving Syndrome and the Effectiveness of Foreign Aid”.

Nara will be teaching Public Finance at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Department of Economics and in the ATI’s Master Program in Taxation. From 2010 she will be the Program Director for the ATI’s Francophone Program – with the responsibility to coordinate the following short courses that will be offered in French through Continuing Education at University of Pretoria Trust (i.e. CE at UP).
