Honours students receive insight into Tshwane’s marketing strategy

Ms Neliswa Nkani, Director of Destination Marketing for the City of Tshwane, recently presented a lecture to the BCom(Hons) Tourism Management students on the current marketing strategy of the City of Tshwane.

She emphasised the importance of Tshwane’s capital status, the presence of foreign representatives and its excellent potential to host business events as key features, and also elaborated on the city’s potential to empower local entrepreneurs. She inspired students with her enthusiasm and creative thinking.

The Tourism Management Division will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Tshwane to formalise future research opportunities.
