The Annual Outstanding Achievers Function for students of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (NAS) was held in May 2016.

The Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics would like to congratulate their three prize winners.

Mr Zhengfei Zhou (left) received the Gensec Prize for the most outstanding honours student in the Mathematics of Finance/Financial Engineering study programme from Prof Anguelov

Mr Odirile Kamogelo Lucas Ntshudisane (left) received the Dewald Hattingh book prize for the best third year student in Mathematics from Prof Roumen Anguelov (HOD).

The South African Mathematical Society (SAMS) medal for the best honours student in the Mathematics or Applied Mathematics programmes was awarded to Miss Sanlie van den Brink (left - received on behalf of her).
