Professional and academic experience
- 1989 onwards - Veterinary researcher at Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute, first in the Molecular Biology Division and the later in the Immunology Section.
- July to October 1992 - Worked in the Biology Department, Imperial College , London , UK .
- Assisted in the supervision of two MSc students in their experimental work and currently co-supervisor of a PhD student and an MSc and supervisor of two MSc students.
