On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper the Perdeby celebrated the achievements of one of its PhD students in the Faculty of Health Sciences at UP.
The newspaper noted that Moses Kebalepile developed a medical diagnostic instrument called the Asthma Grid. The device is an early warning system that predicts threats of an impending asthma attack. The device has nanosensors that measure environmental parameters such as pollutants, oxygen saturation, allergens, and other elements in real time. Kabalepile is a member of UP’s research group that focuses on asthma in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. We have an extensive photo collection and earlier copies of the senate, council and faculty minutes. We also have an extensive clipping collection in our holdings. Please contact us on [email protected] to share your memories of Tukkies or to access our collection virtually.
