On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper Perdeby reported on the activities of UP’s historical society.

Tukkie’s historians met up at the Old building and drove to the Voortrekker Monument. At the museum the group explored and received a lecture on the history of the building, presented by prof. Pelzer and dr. Spies. After the tour the group picnic at the nearby Fountain Valley gardens.

The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria.
