On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the Veterinary library was renamed.

The Veterinary Science Library celebrated its 20th anniversary in the Arnold Theiler Building on the Onderstepoort Campus in 2007. On 5 May 2009, the Veterinary Science Library was officially named the Jotello F Soga Library in honour of the first South African who qualified as a veterinarian in 1886.

The UPA preserves the history of the University of Pretoria. We have an extensive photo collection and earlier copies of the senate, council and faculty minutes. The volumes of the University’s history captured in Ad Destinatium i-v as well as information on its building history, as featured here, also forms part of our collection.
