I am proud to be a part of the Section Sports Medicine as I believe we have high calibre staff helping the university to build their brand.

One of our main focus points is educating sports physicians who have over time proven to be well equipped in this field of medicine, accompanying many national and international teams and well represented in prominent positions in the Sports Medical fraternity, e.g. the chairperson of the SA Sports Medicine Association.

Another focus point is research, which have over the last few years grown substantially with publications in local and international journals. Our Section is also taking the lead in collaborating opportunities with national and international colleagues.
