The second week of was a great day for the big boys to face each other in another koshuis rugby encounter. Another exciting day to watch what Capetonians would call “Champanja” rugby.

The past week was not a memorable one for Tuks as all three senior teams lost against their rivals Police. The juniors performed well with the U/20 winning by 33-0 against their opponents. The U/21 played a late night game in very wet conditions and managed to secure an 18-0 victory against Police.

FNB Tuks outmuscled FNB UJ 47–24 at UJ Stadium to win the Young Guns Final on Tuesday 12 April.

The FNB Madibaz Young Guns were unable to play their last match of the Young Guns season due to a large number of injuries and had to forfeit their match against the FNB Tuks Young Guns which was due to be played on 28 March.

For those who have not heard the story yet: In about 1904, on a shelf, amongst the liquor bottles in a bar in Pretoria, stood a trophy as decoration. The bar was frequented by rugby players. This trophy baffled them. One day the players started asking questions.

UP-Tuks won silver at the 2015 USSA Rugby Championships after missing out on the title by the narrowest of margins. UP-Tuks, the 2014 champions, lost to UJ in the final. Final score: 14-13.
