The second week of was a great day for the big boys to face each other in another koshuis rugby encounter. Another exciting day to watch what Capetonians would call “Champanja” rugby.

The Maroela boys had a bye for the week. The main attraction that evening was the Boys from Sonop who took on the league favourites, Mopanie who had just come from a big win against Maroela last week.

It was a challenging encounter as both sides had no intentions of giving up easily while supporters braved the cold weather. Two tries from Mopanie saw the koshuis seal victory leaving Sonop to take the spoils for the night.

In another first team game Boekenhout overpowered their counterparts Thunderhounds and won the match.

This week will definitely be a cracker as the following teams face each other:   

• Mopanie vs Olienhout
• Sonop vs OnderstePoort
• Maroela vs Thunderhounds

There might be a big upset this week as one of the top 3 might just fall short but we will only know on Tuesday night.
