Dr Maria Karsas attended the 10^th edition Excellence in Paediatrics (EIP) Conference in Prague from 6-8 December 2018. Dr Karsas had the wonderful opportunity to present an oral presentation entitled: An Unusual Case of Hyperthyroidism which was received with much enthusiasm. One of the main focuses of the conference was on advances and updates in paediatric endocrinology as well as approaches for paediatric endocrine problems for a general paediatrician. The knowledge gained from this conference will greatly aid teaching and clinical skills training in the paediatric department. The exposure to experts in the field of paediatric endocrinology worldwide is an invaluable and essential asset to every paediatrician and even more so for a fellow in paediatric endocrinology. Dr Karsas is so thankful for the fantastic opportunity.
