Chairperson's Welcome

Warm greetings to all NAS students and staff! It is my pleasure to serve you all as the NATHouse chairperson for the 2021/2022 term. May the following term and year be filled with exciting possibilities, success and good health for us all.

As an academic house, we have several roles. One is to specifically ensure you are well equipped in terms of your academics and have someone to reach out to if you are ever unsure about where to go and who to speak to. We also serve to represent you by sitting on various faculty committees and bringing up issues that you let us know of. Finally, and probably the most exciting aspect, is that we provide means for you to participate in Student Life. From Key Committee events like Debate and UPlympics to our very own NATHouse events such as our annual Quiz Night, there is something for everyone.

As much as we are all tired of hearing it, we are living in unprecedented times and it is necessary for us to be adaptable if we wish to truly be successful. We have, therefore, ensured that all our activities and plans for the term ahead can be suited to a variety of environments and lockdown situations so you can be sure that regardless of what’s going on in the world around you, NATHouse will be there for you.

Our vision for the term (which can be found somewhere on this webpage too!) can be broadly divided into inclusivity, support and excellence. This means that we want to make sure you feel like you are welcome at all our events and feel enthusiastic about participating in all our activities. It means that we want this faculty to feel like a warm and open community and that you can always expect us to give our very best for you.

Remember that our contact details can be found under "Contact Us" and you are always more than welcome to contact me at [email protected] and by joining the NATHouse Discord Server I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible and the term ahead!
