Goratileone Oepeng, Lerato Maloka, Katlego Malatji, Eunice Ngodwabe, Nokwanda Thango, and Ayanda Mogalekwena from the University of Pretoria, in collaboration with the Mamelodi campus community initiative led by Dr Martina Jordaan, attended training presented by the ACCESS Habitable Planet. The team is tasked with implementing a tailored educational program for Grade 9 learners of Tsako Thabo Secondary School in Mamelodi to spark their curiosity about Earth System Science.

Congratulations to Goratileone on winning the HPW Dumisani Ndaba Award. The Dumisani Ndaba Award is the Habitable Planet Programme's highest honour, recognising excellence within the programme. The award is presented annually to recognise a Planeteer who, like Dumisani himself, has made an exceptional contribution to the Habitable Planet Programme over a prolonged period of time.
