Broadly speaking, neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system. This interdisciplinary science has applications in a wide variety of fields, including chemistry, computer science, engineering, linguistics, mathematics, medicine, philosophy, physics and psychology.

The aim of Neuroscience Day is to showcase neuroscience research at the University, to bring neuroscience researchers from different faculties together and to encourage collaboration among individuals and groups involved in the field.
