Research is an important component of the Department of Haematology. During their training, registrars are expected to identify a research project and present their findings in the form of a dissertation. The dissertation is a compulsory requirement for the awarding of the M. Med. degree.
Our aim also is to ensure that our department is represented every year at the annual Federation of South African Society of Pathologists congress.
