The 2nd Year Masters Students from the Graduate School of Technology Management visited Freedom Won on Friday, 31st January 2025, as part of their academic program. The visit was an enriching experience, showcasing Freedom Won's cutting-edge innovations in the renewable energy sector and giving students valuable insights into practical applications and industry advancements.

The CEO and founder of Freedom Won, Antony English, who was also an alumnus of the University of Pretoria, shared his experience as an engineer entrepreneur by building his business from his garage to the largest lithium battery manufacturer in Africa since 2010 with a manufacturing capacity of 3000 MWh per annum. During the tour, the students were taken step by step through the manufacturing process, from fabrication to final assembly and packaging, in Freedom Won’s new 48 000 m2 facility. At the end of the visit, the students were given the chance to ask strategic, market-related and operational questions to the CEO.
