Evolution and Politics of Technology Assessment. History & Perspectives - Virtual Seminar 17 October 2024

Posted on September 30, 2024

Technology Assessment originated in the 1960's as a form of scientific policy advice, aimed at identifying unintended and systemic consequences of technology, such as climate change, polution, resource depletion, and cyber risks.  TA seeks to anticipate these impacts early on, allowing for informed responses and better decision-making.  By conducting forward-looking research, TA helps shape technology and innovation to maximise benefits and minimise risks.  It provides guideance to policymakers, businesses, and society to ensure more thoughtful and effective outcomes.

Join us for a Deep Dive into the Evolution and Politics of Technology Assessment:  Exploring History and Future Perspectives.  Presented by Armin Grunwald.
