Benefits of CII - Africa Membership

Membership Categories

Owner / Client Organisations:

Organisations acting as project owner, sponsors and users of project products.

Substantial contributions by executive personnel working on CII core processes is expected in addition to the annual dues. Active participation and in-kind contributions are critical to CII’s success.

Core Process Participation: 4 people minimum

Consultant and Contractors:

Consulting and Contracting firms involved in total EPCM, construction, maintenance, consulting, designing and engineering activities.

Core Process Participation: 2 people minimum

Public and Higher Education Institutions:

Organisations that include statutory, legislative, non-governmental and higher education (i.e. universities).

Core Process Participation: 2 people minimum

 

Obligations of CII - SA Membership

  • Timely payment of annual dues (renewable on the anniversary date of the original membership fee payment).
  • Executive participation on the CII Board of Advisors — a primary advisor and one or more alternative/s.
  • Designation of Implementation Champion/s as key administrators to facilitate implementation of CII Best Practices.
  • Designation of Data Liaison/s to respond to the research surveys and to coordinate member organisations’ access to online education and the CII Store.
  • Participation in the CII Board of Advisors meetings in the Annual Conference.
  • Commitment of increasing participation in CII research and follow-on activities, as membership matures.
  • Membership involves active participation in CII core processes (Knowledge Creation, Knowledge Dissemination, Knowledge Management, and Knowledge Assessment).
  • Seventy-five percent response to CII surveys.
