As Commercii, we are thrilled to have kicked off the year with a bang through our annual
1NSYNC event! This year's theme was inspired by the captivating concept of Lunar: The
Dragon. But what makes this theme so special, and how did it shape our 1NSYNC experience?

The Dragon is a majestic creature is synonymous with courage, strength, and good fortune.
People who embody The Dragon are those with confidence, enthusiasm, and charisma –
qualities that we aim to instill in our first-year students as they embark on their university
journey.

The Lunar New Year is also a time for fresh starts and new beginnings. It's a chance to reflect
on past experiences, let go of what's holding you back, and welcome new opportunities with
open arms. As Commercii, we want our first-year students to feel inspired by this spirit of
renewal and to view their time at the University of Pretoria as a chance to grow, learn, and
thrive.

1NSYNC is more than just an event; it's a rite of passage that introduces our first-year
students to the vibrant world of student culture and life. Through this initiative, we aim to
create a sense of community and belonging among our students, ensuring that they have the
best possible experience at the University of Pretoria.

We are absolutely proud of our first-year students, who poured their hearts and souls into
1NSYNC. After a short week of intense practices, sweat, and tears, they were able to take the
stage and showcase their talents with confidence and charisma. It was incredible to see them
laugh and joke about their experiences, and we couldn't be more grateful to have been a part
of their university introduction.

1NSYNC 2025 was truly an unforgettable experience, and we're so grateful to have shared it
with our amazing first-year students. As they continue on their university journey, we hope
