COES is made up of a dynamic and diverse team of individuals, including project managers, learning designers, student administrators, data experts, marketing specialists, and interns.

The directorate’s activities are organised across four central departments: Online Education, Online Systems and Student Administration, Marketing and Communication, and Finance and Data Analytics, each led by a dedicated manager. The departments work closely with the Office of the Director to ensure COES initiatives are successfully implemented.

COES welcomes a group of interns each year, offering them invaluable work experience and a unique insight into the world of fully online distance education. We take pride in being one of the first directorates to team up with the Department of Human Resources to place students in its internship programme. Our interns are not just temporary additions to our team; they are integral to our operation, contributing to projects, bringing in new ideas, and learning from the experienced professionals around them. This hands-on exposure ensures they gain practical skills and knowledge, preparing them for future careers.

COES maintains solid and collaborative ties with faculties, departments, and support divisions throughout the University, ensuring that we work towards shared UP goals.
