It is a pleasure to announce the appointment of Prof Lynne Pilcher as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Chemical Education (JCE), published by the American Chemical Society. Founded in 1924, JCE is the world’s oldest journal dedicated to advancing chemistry teaching and learning. Over the past century, it has played a leading role in shaping the direction of chemical education globally. It remains the premier forum for disseminating innovative research, pedagogical strategies, and curriculum development.

In her new role, Prof Pilcher will oversee submissions with a primary focus on Organic Chemistry education, while also contributing her expertise in Systems Thinking in chemistry education - an area of growing international significance that emphasises connections between chemistry, sustainability, and societal impact. Her appointment reflects both her scholarly achievements and her commitment to advancing excellence in chemistry education.
