Tuks 60+ Chapter holds successful AGM

 The University of Pretoria’s Tuks 60+ Chapter held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 6 March 2025, bringing together esteemed alumni for an afternoon of reflection, planning and camaraderie. The event, held at the Sonop Males Residence, provided an opportunity for members to engage in meaningful discussions about the chapter’s future while enjoying a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

 

A key highlight of the AGM was the election of the new Tuks 60+ Chapter committee. Dedicated members stepped forward to take on leadership roles, ensuring the continued growth and success of the chapter. The newly elected committee members expressed their commitment to fostering a vibrant alumni community and strengthening ties with the University of Pretoria.

Following the formal proceedings, attendees were treated to a delectable meal featuring tender lamb shanks, a dish that was widely praised and added to the afternoon’s sense of celebration. It was the perfect backdrop for alumni to reconnect, share fond memories and discuss exciting initiatives for the year ahead.

 

The Tuks 60+ Chapter remains an integral part of the university’s alumni network, offering a platform for lifelong engagement and connection. With a dedicated committee at the helm, the chapter is poised for another year of enriching activities and opportunities for its members.
