We are delighted to share the University of Pretoria’s 2020 Tukkie magazine with you. Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19 during the year, we are proud of the University of Pretoria’s achievements and successes.

Selected highlights from the magazine include a profile of new Miss South Africa and UP alumna Shudufhadzo Musida, plus the transformation of ChooseUP Day into an online event. We find out how UP was part of the team of astronomers from South Africa and the United States that used the MeerKAT telescope to solve a longstanding puzzle in ‘X’-shaped radio galaxies. We also learn about the National SMME Support Portal from Professor Alex Antonites and the Centre for Entrepreneurship.
