Nonlinear Effects in Materials under Irradiation

Our group is devoted to the research of physical phenomena and effects in materials subjected to irradiation. Radiation environment gives rise to many nonlinear interactions between electron and atomic subsystems, lattice solitons, crystals defects etc. The main attention is focused on three interconnected aspects:

(i) A detailed discussion of the physical nature of nonlinear phenomena and effects.
(ii) Theoretical models of nonlinear phenomena and possible universal laws they predict.
(iii) Application of new ideas, methods and results of mathematical physics and computational mathematics in the radiation material science.
