The University of Pretoria Aeronautical Society of South Africa has partnered with Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) South Africa. As a result, we have taken this opportunity to update our name and will now be called the University of Pretoria Aerospace Society (UPAS). This decision was made to include all aspects of flight, fields of study and to remain adaptable in this rapidly changing industry.

We aim to provide a community for like-minded students who share a passion for all aspects of aerospace. Furthermore, we aim to inspire, educate and inform students through industry tours, events, and social media. Our partnership with SEDS South Africa has allowed us to provide events from the larger international SEDS community where networking and knowledge transfer are possible. Additionally, we hope to bring new and exciting projects to students in the future.
