This year's Varsity Cricket competition will be hosted in Potchefstroom again from 25–30 January. It will be very similar to last year's competition, with only a few minor changes and improvements.

On Sunday 24 January 2016 the first tournament of the Gauteng Volleyball Union (GVU) Beach Volleyball Series took place. TuksVolleyball was very well represented with 18 athletes competing at the tournament.

The South African National Archery Association (SANNA) Indoor Nationals took place during the 23 to 25 of October 2015 in the Rembrandt Hall in the Sports Centre on the UP Sports Campus. Archers from across South Africa represented their clubs and provinces at the event.
