Head Coach at TuksTrampoline Club: Tiaan van der Walt

As a junior Tiaan received Junior Springbok colours and at the World Age Group Championships, Tokyo, Japan, his first International competition, he won a bronze medal. Regretfully it was also his last competition, the next year he suffered a serious accident, not Trampoline related. Tiaan’s coach was Helen van der Walt.

It took him several years to recover from the accident and at the age of 16, he started to assist mom Helen with official coaching.  Today he is the highest qualified Trampoline coach in the country, FIG, International level 3 coach.

Assistant Head Coach:   Lucky Radebe.

Lucky started as a little boy, 7 years old, with Helen, at 10 he was taken over by Tiaan and made the 10 and under section at the World Age group Championships (these days age group starts at 11-12).

Lucky has an excellent track record. Made finals at World Championships number of times. Was placed 4th  in World Games Test event and 6th in finals at World Games, Taiwan. We dreamt of 2020 Olympic Games.

He suffered a knee injury, underwent two knee operations, on top of it all when he needed coach Tiaan  -  Tiaan had to accept a post as a regional manager at Bounce to survive financially. However, Tiaan is back full-time in coaching.

Lucky is an excellent coach, highly qualified, one of the few coaches in the county who is qualified as a FIG (International) Level 1 coach.
