Award at the 2023 International Pediatric Feeding Disorder Conference
Dr Roxanne Malan, a clinical supervisor at the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, recently graduated in March 2023 (under the supervision of Dr Esedra Krüger, Prof. Jeannie van der Linde & Prof. Alta Kritzinger). Roxanne won the Outstanding Abstract Award at the International Pediatric Feeding Disorder Conference held in April this year for her doctoral research on neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy’s (HIE) swallowing and feeding characteristics.
