Hearing Aid Technology: The What’s, The Do’s and The Don’ts (5 – 6 Feb 2015)

After attendance of the workshop, you will have gained knowledge on:

Ethical hearing aid fitting;
Which level of technology to fit for which hearing loss;
Hearing aid adaptation programmes;
The use of remote microphones to aid hearing aids;
Effect of hearing aids on listening effort and mental fatigue;
Future trends in hearing aid technology;
Using the neuroscience model in hearing aid fitting and adaptation.
For successful completion, you will be expected to read three articles on the topics covered; answer the questions on the articles and have a pass rate of 80% for the questions of each article.
