The Journal of Laryngology and Otology initiated a best paper prize in different categories (reviews, main articles, clinical records, laboratory research and short communications).
The paper, entitled "
A systematic review of vestibular disorders related to human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome", written by
Ms Barbara Heinze and
Prof De Wet Swanepoel from the Department of Communication Pathology and Prof Louis Hofmeyr from the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pretoria, has been awarded the prize in the 2011 review category.
One of the authors will be flown to the UK to give a presentation at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, UK, and to accept the prize on behalf of all the authors on 3 May 2012.
