In addition, the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology hosted a two day workshop on 7-8 November 2013 entitled "Balance your practice". Prof Bart Vinck (Head of the Department) welcomed the attendees. Dr Leen Maes was the keynote speaker, and she was joined by academics and experts in the field of vestibular-audiology. The other speakers were Christine Rogers (University of Cape Town), Barbara Heinze (University of Pretoria), Mariet du Plooy (Audiologist) and Willemien Martin (Physiotherapist). It was a well attended workshop and received positive feedback.
