As human experience continues to be increasingly influenced by digital technology critical dialogues on environmental issues have equally risen to the task of making use of digital images to document changing environmental trends. Aware of the impact instant messaging has had in communicative technologies the observatory explores the use of “photo-voice” for earth-keeping with the aim of enabling individuals to identify environmental concerns within their immediate surroundings and to promote critical dialogue around the key issues.
