SPMA staff boasts a full set of doctoral degrees

Posted on May 22, 2018

In its 25th anniversary year, the School of Public Management and Administration (SPMA) goes full circle. The SPMA this year has an academic staff complement of 13 academics, who all now have doctoral degrees.

At the recent Autumn Graduation Ceremony, Dr Onkgopotse Madumo, who was the last academic staff member to graduate, was conferred with a Doctor of Administration in Public Administration degree.

Consequently, the SPMA becomes the only School/Department of Public Administration and Management in South Africa to have its entire academic staff possessing a doctoral qualification. This will go a long way in enhancing the research output and supervisory capacity of the School.
