The School of Public Management and Administration (SPMA) hosts an annual awards ceremony to acknowledge its top performing students. This is done to honour the hard work that students have put in during the year and takes place before the autumn graduation ceremonies. The top performers for all programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels are awarded a monetary incentive and a certificate of achievement. The SPMA takes pride in encouraging excellence among its students by holding these awards annually. The awards aim to motivate both undergraduate and postgraduate students as shown in the categories below to excel in their academic endeavours:

• Best Achievement in Public Administration on the First Year Level
• Best Overall Achievement on the First Year Level in the Degree BAdmin (Public  Management) # Public Administration
• Best Achievement in Public Administration on the Second Year Level
• Best Overall Achievement on the Second Year Level in the degree BAdmin (Public Management)  # Public Administration
•  Best Achievement in Public Administration on the Third Year Level
•  Best Achievement on the Third Year level in Public Administration and the degree BAdmin (Public   Management) # Public Administration, and Best Overall Undergraduate Achievement in Public Administration.
