#TuksRugby: “Tides Turn” for Tuks in Carlton Cup

Posted on June 04, 2016

The winning culture seems to be slowly returning and plans to work towards retaining the Carlton Cup are back in full swing for Tuks.

The senior teams had a couple of good wins in the past week while the juniors fell short this week against their opponents. Luck was not on the U/20 side as they played without their star fly-half and battled numerous injuries, they ended up losing by a 12 point margin. The U/21 fell short by 4 points after a tough encounter with Naka Bulle.

The senior teams had good wins against the team that won the first round standings. Tuks 3(Pumas) sealed the victory with a 33-24 win while Tuks 2(Fezelas) had a tough match up against Naka Bulle winning with only a five point difference.

Tuks 1 made their presence felt on the field. The match was a close encounter in the first half but the Tuks men overcame the Bulle. Tuks scored 4 tries, three of the tries were scored by David Pieterse. Helping Tuks win 32-17 against Naka Bulle.
