Tuks will not shift blame

Grobler said losing is not always a bad thing as it is a cruel reminder that you are only as good as your last game.

“Losing to Ikeys may therefore just prove to a blessing in disguise,” added Grobler.

He agreed that Tuks lost too many line outs, including the critical last one of the match when the home team was still in front by 22-21.

“Our line out play was a shocker. Losing 11 line outs on you own throw, is damning statistics. We also lost a lot of possession at kick offs.”

Grobler agreed that his team’s discipline was still not good enough.

"We keep on being our own worst enemies by giving away penalties within striking distance. Against Ikeys this proved to be very costly as the winning points came through a last minute penalty goal."

“All these problem areas have been firmly addressed at training this week because we cannot afford to make the same silly mistakes against Shimlas (Monday in Bloemfontein). Technically speaking they (Shimlas) may be out of the semi-final race, but that will make them even more dangerous and unpredictable. We can take nothing for granted, because we ourselves are not out of the woods yet,” added Grobler.
