Van den Heever, who only turns 20 on April 13, replaces injured Springbok Bryan Habana in the Bulls’ starting line-up.
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke says Van den Heever is ready to take on the big boys.
Van den Heever last year excelled in the Bulls’ u.19 side. He matriculated at Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool in 2007. In the same year he represented the Blue Bulls at the Craven Week.
Van den Heever is 1.90 m tall and weighs in at 94 kg.
