Posted on May 18, 2009

Tuks scored 15 tries in their 99-5 win with fly half Stanley Twiname contributing 24 points with 12 conversions. Stanley and Police’s Mike Erasmus are now the joint top scorers in the league with 95 points.

The win against Brits and the surprise that Centurion pulled off against Police resulted in Tuks increasing their lead on the log. They top the log with 32 points, following by Police (25), TUT (24) and Centurion (22).

Tuks tries were scored by Fanie Booysen (2), Hein Pretorius, Gertjie Smit, Pieter Gothin (2), Wesleigh Marais (2), Quinten Skewes, Louis van Biljon (2), Juan Palm, Erich van der Westhuizen, Louis Boshoff and Gert Lubbe.

Fanie Booysen’s two tries moves him to second place on the list of top try scorers. His nine tries are just one less than that of Police’s Jacques Erasmus in first place.
