UP-Tuks’ defeat will go down in history as a big first; not because they have never lost a Varsity Cup match before, but because it was the first time in 55 matches and seven seasons of Varsity Cup rugby that they did not score any points.
“Even though it was a disappointing performance, there is no need for panic. We have to learn from our mistakes and make the best of the rest of the week in order to be as battle ready as possible for the difficult home fixture against NMMU (10 March),” said UP-Tuks head coach, Pote Human.
