Why should you get involved?

TuksYouthRugby Club is one of 32 clubs that represent TuksSport, the University of Pretoria’s Sports Department that has been in existence for more than 100 years. The Club is currently one of the largest rugby clubs in South Africa with 55 senior teams, 20 youth teams, and more than 150 coaches and team managers.

TuksYouthRugby provides a platform for the youth in Pretoria to develop their rugby skills within a professional environment. Qualified coaches and officials assist the players by harnessing their potential and skills for high performance.

This junior programme allows us to accommodate primary school teams (boys, aged under 7 to under 13), and high school teams for both girls and boys in the under 14 to under 19 age groups. It introduces the u/8 “bulletjies” to the 15-man code to familiarize them with this format of play. This transition phase serves as ideal preparation for the “bulletjies” for the upcoming years of school rugby and adds a lot of value to the development of our future Springboks.  The u/7 “bulletjies” play 7-man tag-rugby with a lot of focus on basic skills development.

TuksYouthRugby is affiliated to the Blue Bulls Youth Rugby Association (BBYRA) and participates along with 12 (twelve) other Pretoria based clubs in the club rugby season.

The information supplied below is a broad offering from TuksYouthRugby of what is available to any potential sponsor. Items or ideas not listed below can be discussed with the club marketing executive.

The main objectives of youth rugby are to develop the players’ skills and to provide more opportunities for them. Furthermore, it is an excellent place for prospective or established coaches, referees, and administrators to commence, develop, or enhance their careers.

All artwork and offering MUST be signed off by TuksSport before any offer can be finalised.
