The Interdisciplinary School of Psychology (ISOP) hosted Prof Anastassios (Tassos) Matsopoulos on Wednesday, 14 Aug 2024, during a virtual presentation on the topic of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's: Resilience in Educational Contexts
 
 
About Prof Matsopoulus:
Prof. Matsopoulos is a distinguished school psychologist certified in New York State and licensed in Greece and Cyprus. He is currently an Associate Professor of School Psychology at the University of Crete, where he also directs the School Psychology Lab/Research Unit. His research interests include prevention, resilience, the well-being of children and educators, and international school psychology. Prof. Matsopoulos has participated in numerous international projects and co-authored the resilience curriculum “RESCUR-Surfing the Waves.” He has co-edited special issues in esteemed journals and authored several books, with his latest work focusing on resilience and mental health in schools. Prof. Matsopoulos also has extensive global consulting experience and founded the Hellenic Association of School Psychology. 
 
He co-edited a special issue of the School of Psychology International entitled "Resilience to COVID-19 challenges: Lessons for school psychologists serving school-attending youth with experiences of marginalization"  with Prof Linda Theron (Department of Educational Psychology at UP).
