Dr Valverde’s research interests are primarily in the area of microbial community ecology.

We are very sorry to see him go”, said Don Cowan. “He has been a very important part of the success of CMEG, and we will miss his enthusiasm, his expertise and his guidance. We wish him well in his new position at the University of the Free State, and hope that we can maintain a very strong and productive collaboration in the future.”
