The M2PL students participated at the 8th annual Southern African Malaria Research Conference hosted by the South African Medical Research Council. The conference served as an opportunity for our students to showcase their research on the various aspects of malaria parasite biology. 

Congratulations to Henrico Langeveld, PhD candidate, who was awarded best oral presentation at the 8th Malaria Research Conference in August 2023. His talk was titled: Chemically probing the biology of Plasmodium falciparum using anti-cancer inhibitors.

Congratulations to Natanya Venter, MSc candidate, who was awarded best poster at the 8th Malaria Research Conference. Her poster was titled: Exploring epidrugs as druggable compounds for Plasmodium falciparum in vitro.
