Johns Hopkins 7th Future of Malaria Research Symposium

Posted on November 12, 2021

Congratulations to Henrico Langeveld, MSc finalist, who gave an oral presentation at the Johns Hopkins 7th Future of Malaria Research Symposium, on the 12th of November 2021.

His talk was titled 'Novel kinases play an essential role during asexual proliferation of Plasmodium falciparum parasites. He argued that three uncharacterised putative kinase proteins were found to be differentially expressed during re-entery of the cell cycle after mitogen-depletion induced cell cycle arrest. These were found to be essential for intra-erythrocytic asexual proliferation of P. falciparum parasites.

Well done Henrico, we are proud of you!!
